Hoping for a little help here...

I have installed the plugin as directed (http://www.popculturetees.com/) and included the code for it manually in my sidebar. The default banner that I requested display when there are no ads shows correctly. But when clicking on the link to test purchasing, I get my blog's 404 error message. The files are installed at the location the script is requesting.

I have "Test Pay Mode" and "Links Test Mode" enabled. wp_head() and wp_footer() are in the header/footer files respectively.

As a side note, the link is also "broken" from the admin Purchase Page where you can test your purchase links.

    I'm using the latest wordpress.

    What did I miss?

    Thanks in advance.

That's odd. When I check your plugins folder, the oiopub-direct folder is there, but I can't access any file inside it. I'm sure it is the case, but can I just confirm that purchase.php is uploaded?

The only thing I can think of right now is that there is an htaccess file somewhere that is messing things up? I do have it set to find a 404 if index.php is called directly, but that shouldn't / doesn't apply to files like purchase.php.

If you can't figure the problem out, I'm available to take a look for you (which would require temporary FTP access). You can send me FTP details privately (via the contact form) if you'd like me to take a look.

I'll check on the admin test mode link.

    Thanks for the response, Simon

I've thrown up a php script that lists the contents of the directory: http://www.popculturetees.com/wp-content/plugins/oiopub-direct/test.php ... which seems to me indicates that there wouldn't be an htaccess file blocking the execution of any scripts.

Also, the NOTES.txt loads fine, as does the keywords.php and a few others.

Still need access? Is there a way to disable the push to the 404 with the index page? Maybe that's messing it up.

Your program looks awesome, just wish I could get it working :(

    Ohhh... follow up.

I had changed the permissions on the install directory to 777 because I was messing around with changing the name of the directory (as per instructions).

Seems that (at least on my server) if the install directory isn't set 755, the buy page gives you that 404. Really weird. But after I changed permissions back just for kicks on a hunch, it worked fine.

I'd definitely say it is an upload issue. I'd suggest removing the folder and doing a fresh upload - make sure that all directories are set to 755 initially, and all files to 644, once uploaded.

What FTP client are you using?
