I have installed in a wordpress3.
I have added banners in the settings area. But nothing displays on the site or on the purchase area.
My initial thought would simply be to check that the relevant ad zones have the "enabled" checkbox ticked and have a price set.
I'm running WP3 myself, so it shouldn't be an issue with that.
They are enabled when I disable them "banner ads" is removed from the drop down
Banner Ad Pricing
Zone # Available Pricing
Custom Item Pricing
Item # Available Pricing
(Then all the custom item)
That's strange - not sure what's going on there, to be honest. I haven't seen that kind of behaviour before.
What happens if you create another banner ad zone, and give it a price? Does it show up on the purchase page? It would also be worth trying the same thing with a text ad zone.
Since it's a fresh install, an uninstall / re-activation may be worthwhile, as a next step.
How are you testing to see if the ads are working?
I had the same problem - i.e activating ads but then noticing that they were not displaying
the problem was firefox and the adblock plugin.
with this turns on in firefox the ads are not displayed
testing in a nother browser and the ads worked as expected
Good call, definitely something to check out.
I am looking at the purchase page nothing else. The banner options are not displaying at all but the custom options are.
I do have some purchases in this install of custom products is there a way to keep this info in the database?
The purhcase info itself is stored in the db tables oiopub_purchases and oiopub_purchases_history (which you could export).
The custom purchase settings are in the oiopub_config table, but restoring that after a re-install might re-introduce whatever the problem is, so I'd only use that as a last resort.
Ok, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, replaced all the files of the plugin and renamed the directory that it is in many times now and there still is not a banner to but on the purchase page.
Not sure what else to suggest, but if you want to send over some FTP details, I can take a look.
where do I send?
Contact form is the best place.
Ok, sent last night
