Please take a look at this site http://www.viperchill.com

The ads look fine to me, but I see for others I'm having an issue. Also on some browsers / screensizes the advertise here ads don't show

The ads should be on the right hand side, not in the top left of the header:

What browser was that screenshot taken with?

NB: I've changed the way ads are displayed in the next version (hoping to release beta shortly), which I believe will solve this issue.

Can you give me the code for that, i really can't wait as it's screwing up my page for some visitors.

That was taken with FF3 in Windows Vista, I've also seen it happen in IE 7 though

For now, you might want to try using the javascript output (see the Ad Server tab). I'll also try and take a look at your site this evening and see if I can spot where it may be going wrong with the html output.

The new code isn't just a drop-in replacement, so it wouldn't help with this particular problem without using the new version (which isn't fully tested yet).

Just an update. I've taken a look at the major browsers myself, and all came up with the correct format.

    Browsershots confirms this - http://browsershots.org/http://www.viperchill.com/

Other than trying the javascript output, there's not much more advice I can offer at this stage.

I am having the same problem but I am using Joomla and the ads are served from a WordPress installation acting as ad server. I am using the javascript output and tyring to place the banners on the right sidebar but they appears on the top left of the page like the above.

Any suggestion how to fix this?

Would you be able to try the new beta download?

It uses a different positioning method (floating divs as opposed to absolute / relative positioning). It isn't a production release, but as long as you back up your current database before trying it, then you'd be safe to see whether it positions the ads properly.

I get the following message when trying to reactivate the plugin. I was using v1.62. What do you recommend I should do?

    ---------------

OIOpublisher Social Module: requires a newer version of OIOpublisher Direct to be uploaded!

    Current Version:
    Required Version: 1.60

    Please download the latest version.

This message only affects the admin panel, not the main blog. If you do not want to install the latest OIOpublisher version, you can simply delete the conversation module folder from your server (not recommended).

I think you should just need to delete the "conversation" folder in the modules directory (it's an old module folder).

If you want to play safe, you can always delete the entire plugin and re-upload the new version again. I've quickly updated it to stop the error messaging from occurring again.

Thank you. It's installing fine now. But when I tried to include 2 default adsense Ads, the output is not what I expected.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll try it out with some default adsense ads. What size of ad were you using at the time?

I am using 125x125. I encountered another problem when I entered AdSense 728x90 as the default ads to fill in the gaps. It doesn't appear on the pages.

Oh, that could well be the problem...

You can't put a bigger ad into a smaller slot - a default ad takes up one ad slot in a zone. If it were a banner image, it would simply be resized to fit into a 125x125 slot, but something like adsense will start over-lapping on the other slots.

To accommodate a 728x90 adsense ad, you'd need to create a zone using those dimensions.

Sorry for not being very clear. Actually the 728x90 is for a different zone. The 125x125 slot is another zone.

Quick update. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to look into this issue yet. I'll let you know as soon as I've been able to.

Hi, did you manage to have this fixed in the latest update?

The ads are displayed in a different way. It's impossible to say whether it will definitely work for your precise setup, but in general it is working well.

I've upgraded to v2.07 but I am still having this problem as you can see from the screenshot below
