Well, not sure what I have done now but my zones are not working as I expected.

I have the possibility to add different channels to my site, ex. lifestyle, travel, property... etc. I thought I could add different zones according to page placement and channel for example:

    Banners:

    Zone 1 : header - lifestyle (120 x 90)
    Zone 2 : left nav - lifestyle (120 x 60)
    Zone 3 : right nav - travel (125 x 125)
    Zone 4 : footer travel (486 x 60)

Each section will have different placement and sizes until I work out what works best in that area, whgat sells best, where I might be best to leave Adsense, etc.

    BUT...

Having alrady had zones 1 & 2 running happily on lifestyle, when I add a zone 3 and populate it with one 125 x 125, it appears in zone 2 where it forces the ad there to expand to fit the zone 3 size specs, plus repeats the single zone 2 ad to the 4 spots specified in zone 3.

I hope I have made that clear enough to follow as it sounds confusing to me even as I write it. The effect is clear enough however and not at all what I want to happen.

I think I understand what is going on...

I need to try and replicate the conditions you were using in order to see if I can re-produce the error.

The ads you had in zone 1 and 2 originally, were they purchased ads, or default? If they were defaults, were you using javascript ads (such as adsense) or just plain banners?

The same question for the ad you put in zone 3 too.

    Hi Simaon,

Actually the zone 2 ad was a freebie, but instead of making it a default I'd gone through the purchase system and marked paid so I could get statistics on it.

The first zone 3 ad was an oio ad button which I had also input through purchase for the statistics.

I have temporarily removed zone 2 from the lifestyle template of the site as this was intended to be a single ad which is now being forced to show four ad slots. Zone 3 has not been inserted in the travel template yet but it is intended to have four 125 x 125 in a column.

It is interesting to note that banner zone 1 is also on the lifestyle section template and it was not affected by the new zone 3.

    More info...

Now I have inserted the zone 3 javascript snippet into the template of the travel section of my site. Instead of having four 125 x 125 buttons, I have a column showing four 'Advertise Here' links and empty space between.

    Is this running v2.07?

EDIT: also, didn't I receive your FTP details previously to help with installation? If so, I can take a look at your install and figure out what is going on if you'd prefer.

It is version 2.07 and you did receive my ftp details before. Yes, please do go ahead and take a look. I have currently removed the zone 2 and disabled the zone 3 as though the column showed up the ads did not.

I'll have a look then (most likely tomorrow now).

Would you be able to link me to (or setup) a page on your site with the ad zones setup in the way that gives you the issue? It's just easier if I've got exactly the same setup to work from.
