    Hi there,

    I have added the OIO Ad Zone widget to the Header Sidebar and allocated Zone 2 to it. It's being taken up by a Google AdSense code. Then, I've added another OIO Ad Zone widget to the sidebar (Magazine) and selected Zone 1. But when I paste the HTML for the ad into that in the OIO Ad Manager, it not only doesn't work but it takes over the banner ad which is Zone 2.

    This is the HTML code I'm trying to paste into Zone 2: <a target="_self" href="http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=1&pub=5575131989&toolid=10001&campid=5337723547&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg">http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=1&pub=5575131989&toolid=10001&campid=5337723547&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg</a><img style="text-decoration:none;border:0;padding:0;margin:0;" src="http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=1&pub=5575131989&toolid=10001&campid=5337723547&customid=&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">

    My website is www.sheramag.com. Wordpress, using Simple Mag theme.

    Thank you!

    Do you have a live example on your site anywhere? The code you referenced doesn't look like it should cause any issues, so it would be useful to see the problem first-hand.

    Hi Simon,

    What exactly do you mean by live example? Do you mean can you log in and look at the back-end?

    I'm attaching some screenshots to show the situation.

    – Screenshot 1, 2, 3 & 4: showing that Ad Zone 2 is taken up by Google AdSense
    – Screenshot 5: I'm adding the Ad Zone 2 widget to the Magazine sidebar
    – Screenshot 6 & 7: Pasting ebay code into Zone 1
    – Screenshot 8: What it shows on the front-end

    Let me know if you need any more info.

    Thanks,
    Victoria

    Sorry for the delay, busy week!

    Could you paste a full copy of the adsense and ebay code here? I'd like to test it.

    Hi Simon,

    Not a problem.

    In Zone 2, we have GoogleAdSense, with the code:
    <script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>
    <!-- SheRa Mag -->
    <ins class="adsbygoogle"
    style="display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px"
    data-ad-client="ca-pub-2466201514497316"
    data-ad-slot="2149840385"></ins>
    <script>
    (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
    </script>

    It's working.

    In Zone 1, we want to paste the code:
    <a target="_self" href="http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=1&pub=5575131989&toolid=10001&campid=5337723547&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg">http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=1&pub=5575131989&toolid=10001&campid=5337723547&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg</a><img style="text-decoration:none;border:0;padding:0;margin:0;" src="http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=1&pub=5575131989&toolid=10001&campid=5337723547&customid=&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">

    It's not working.

    Thanks,
    Victoria

    Unfortunately for now I think you might have to place that ad outside of OIO. I've got an idea of where the issue might be, but I don't think it's something I can resolve easily.

    P.S. is that the full ad code? It seems a bit strange, as the link text is just the URL repeated?

    Hi Simon,

    Ok... but why do I need to place the ad outside of OIO and how do I do that? I have your plugin so I can use it for ads. How come it's not accepting the code?

    Yes, that's the full code. Here it is again:

    <a target="_self" href="http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=1&pub=5575131989&toolid=10001&campid=5337730669&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg">http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=1&pub=5575131989&toolid=10001&campid=5337730669&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg</a><img style="text-decoration:none;border:0;padding:0;margin:0;" src="http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=1&pub=5575131989&toolid=10001&campid=5337730669&customid=&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">

    There are sometimes specific things about a particular ad code that conflicts with the way OIO works (e.g. the css or javascript it uses). It doesn't happen very often, but if it does then I need to try and adapt OIO to work with that particular ad code without breaking it for everything else.

    However, with this ad code I'm not actually sure how it's supposed to work? Here's what it looks like on a completely blank page, without OIO. Just a very long link that redirects to the eBay home page?

    That's fine, thanks. I had a developer work this out.
