This thread to help those who may have had problems with OIO not installing correctly when first uploading it.
The OIOpublisher web installer will ensure all the files are uploaded correctly to your site, and setup the config.php file for you if needed. If you have experienced problems installing OIO, try the steps below.
------
1.) Uninstall OIO from the admin area (Settings -> General)
2.) Delete the OIO folder from your server completely
3.) Use the web installer to upload OIO
4.) Follow the link provided by the installer to complete setup
If you continue to have problems, please see the entry below for further help.
In a very small number of cases, users have been unable to install OIO successfully via the web installer, or by manually uploading the files. The main symptom is no modules appearing in the "My Modules" section.
I have not been able to identify the cause (if there is one), but on each occasion I have managed to install OIO successfully for the user by following the steps below.
-------
1.) If necessary, uninstall the cript, and delete the OIO directory from your server.
2.) Using the FileZilla FTP client, manually re-upload OIO to the server.
3.) Then re-activated the script, and check for the existence of modules.
If you still can't get OIO to install correctly after following all the steps above, let us know.
