I came across a really bizarre conflict between OIO and Sociable. Here is how it manifests itself:
If OIO is activated and I activate Sociable, the Plug-ins page goes into 500 Error. All other admin pages and the blog remain accessible.
If Sociable is activated and OIO is activated afterwards, the Plug-ins page works fine and so do the two plug-ins, but the Modify Pages page only opens with the WP header - otherwise it is totally empty.
Like I said, bizarre.
Someone recently reported similar behaviour with the Wordpress upgrade plugin - I'll check it out this weekend and find out what's causing it.
yeah... that was me too. I should probably have kept it in one thread. I did find a conflict with a third plug-in as well but I can't remember what it was. All the conflicts have effects on the admin side only which is really weird.
It might be rather difficult to find out what's causing it, as I don't think it's a general error.
I've tried both sociable and WP auto-upgrade, and neither produce 500 errors in the admin area when OIO is also active.
You might want to try a clean test install of Wordpress, and then just upoad the 3 plugins to see if the error still occurs. Also, what's the hosting setup like (host name, OS, php version etc)?
I also did a quick scan for similar reports from other Wordpress users regarding 500 errors with plugins. The only issue that came up was a lack of allocated memory.
Hey! That allocated memory fix actually worked for me too. I'm on 1and1 as well so I'm guessing it's rooted in some sort of standard server setup. Regardless, it solved my problem. Now everything works. Thank you.
