PayPal
PayPal enables users to pay by credit / debit card, or using their own PayPal account. You can sign up for a free account with them here.
The paypal module is fully automated, meaning that when a purchase is paid for, the OIO database is updated automatically to reflect this.
It also allows for subscription payments, although you should be aware that this will let the advertiser pay a fixed price for as long as the subscription is active.
Activating the PayPal Module
To activate the paypal module, navigate to the General Settings section of the OIO admin area, and scroll down to the "payment settings" area. Click on the paypal link and add your paypal email address where indicated.
Why isn't the payment being automatically updated?
In some cases, even though a payment has been successfully made by a purchaser, the purchase isn't updated to a "paid" status automatically. The most common cause is the use of security software that blocks automated requests to your website (eg. spam plugins such as "Bad Behaviour").
If the security software has a whitelist feature, simply add paypal.com to the list and the payment updates should work properly, otherwise you'll need to disable the security software.
