    Hope you dont mind me picking your brain about wordpress Simon. ;)

    Do you know of a plugin designed to take multiple RSS or Email data sources and create either new posts or comments on exisitng posts from them?

    I need each data source to show as a different author and be allocated to their own specific tag categories.

    You could try out Feedwordpress. I have used it on one blog to create posts from RSS sources. I have forgotten whether it allows different authors per source, but I think it's pretty flexible:
