    Is it possible to allow a free ad mixed in with paid ads?
    For example, if I have my blog set to run four ads but I want to give one away for a limited period of time (perhaps a contest winner), am I able to enter it myself and set it to be free?
    Or is there some sort of coupon code to give that person?

    You can enter purchases in the admin area (using the Purchases tab -> create new purchase), and specify any particular length of time you'd like the ad to last for.

    If it's for a contest, you could place the ad with a place-holder image of your choice, and then update the link / image to the contest winner when required.
