    Ad Zones looks in a mess - is there a solution?

    Now i have a neat Ad Zone but will not last too long

    Because more and more categories will be added and everything will be in a messed.

    Each categories I will have 1 header Ad and 5 sidebar ads - each i allocated a zone for them

    Eg. now if i wish to add in no 6 sidebar ads for says dentist category - I could only used the last zone which is available - which is Zone 150 + - it will display far from its category here.

    Such a mess - cannot image - customer wanted to buy 6th suddenly want to change to 5th and find hard to scroll up and down to find it.

    Is there a way to arrange the zone more smartly then this way?

    The simplest option would be to ensure the drop-down list is ordered alphabetically (which I can look into, if you'd like).

    If you want more extensive layout changes, I'd recommend creating your own "sales page" (e.g. in WordPress) and then using OIO's "redirect purchase links" option - which will send advertisers to your custom page, rather than the default purchase page.

    By "look into", I just meant I'd have a look at incorporating the change into the core code, which you could then use. I think it should be relatively easy to do and is probably a better default to use.

    No charge, it's just something I'll incorporate into the code base (for everyone). I'll have a look at it over the weekend.

    I've now made sure all ad zone lists are displayed in alphabetical order. Download the latest code again and re-upload the following files / folders:

    * /admin/
    * /include/purchase.php
    * /purchase/
    * /templates/core/purchase_edit.tpl

    P.S. I did see your suggestion about categories, which I'll keep in mind for the future.

    Thanks Simon - you are fast !

    But below are few issues faced - appreciate advice :

    (a) How to remove Zone - how to remove the zone - they are not usable anymore

    (b) How to easily see Zone # - As mentioned, have coming to 200 zones now - now after alphabetic order - unable to see Zone # easily ended up got to click individually to get zone #. Could we see zone # says from any of the file via ftp?

    Thanks again for your prompt assistance

    There's currently no way to delete a zone - I would suggest renaming them (e.g. prefix with ZZZ).

    I've just re-added the zone number to the list in the admin menu, so you can reference by name or number (you'll need to re-upload the "admin" folder again).

    Well, you could just enter a lower number in "How Many Zones?" -box, but then the newest zone will be deleted, not the one you are viewing.

    Anyway, it would be great to have a real function for deleting a zone :)
