    I'm trying the keywprd search to buy a test contextual link.

    Ive only got the default hello world post there so far so searched for words contained in that but get no results.

    The searching used isn't exact. It will pick up keywords using the mysql full text search, which isn't pinpoint accurate when you don't have much content. You'd really need to try out a search when you have a few themed posts up and running.

    To find the post ID of an article without using the keyword search is hard, unless you display it for them. You'd have to show "Post ID: X" next to the title or Topic headings. I could code something like that in, but it would be a bit of a waste. I might add into the README file how to display the post id, by putting the following code into the desired template (must be within the post loop):

    Post ID: <?php the_ID(); ?>

    thats easy enough.. if people can work out how to edit or chmod their .htaccess file to enable the rewrite rules, then I'm sure they can work out how to add that to their template too.

    Yep, at some point you've got to strike a balance between "plug and play" and user comeptence. I think that installing 2 sidebar functions from a set of instructions, and inserting a post id display if wanted, isn't too much to ask for most users.

    Nothing to indicate a problem. I think I'd need to take a look at it myself in order to find out why nothing is returned.
